Where Does the Money Go?
Some have asked, “Where does the money go?”, and here are a few things we have done in the past year:
We sponsored a handicap youth hunt, and several additional youth hunts; we sponsor hunter safety for new hunters; we donated over 1,000 lbs of venison to churches, food kitchens, and homeless shelters; we do our best to put ourselves in front of the public to answer questions and promote hunting and fishing.
A few examples of the latter: The Northeast Ohio Sportsman Show in Mt. Hope; the Farm Science Review in Columbus; speeches to college classes at Ohio State University.
Our most recent commitment was to transform a building at Stack County Fair into what we call the “Hunter’s Hideaway”.
We score deer for anyone who brings their mount, we have displays and seminars, several interactive games for kids to teach them how to shoot a gun or bow. We also support other groups such as SCI and the Whitetail Heritage group.
